One Friday Afternoon

When I have  a day all to myself, I enjoy walking around my Upper West Side neighborhood. I’ve been known to stroll the sidewalks with my camera, dip into thrift shops, and have a light meal at French Roast while pretending i’m in Paris (you know you’ve done it too). Even though I have walked these streets hundreds of times, I adore finding the subtle beauty in things often overlooked.  105 110 107 108 109In my opinion, French Roast has the best onion soup in New York City.

Looks like a wonderful way to spend an afternoon…though I’m not sure I’d be able to tear myself away from the café!

I go to French Roast and get that Paris feeling as well. But, you actually recreated it with your camera, both inside and outside. Some of your shots in the park and the thrift shop remind me of Paris. The bench pics were very much my recollection of the benches in the Luxemborg Gardens. Now, I must get back to Paris!!!
Thanks for your good eyes and light heart.
